Chapter One

Leah angrily pedaled her away from her house. The cold wind slashed her face, but she didn't care. Some time alone was what Leah needed, sometime away from the annoying circus she knew as her family. After quickly parking her bike, she walked into the quiet woods.
Sometimes Leah wished she had a different family. They were always so frustrating! No one every gave her any privacy, and they were always pestering her with stupid questions. Leah sighed and sat down. Fourteen years with her family and she still didn't understand them. Brushing her red hair out of her face, she leaned against the tree and was caught in a sudden sleep.
Leah woke up with a start. Her green eyes darted around the room, and she bolted upright but was soothed back to sleep with a warm drink and a soft voice. The next time Leah woke up, her head was throbbing. A tall, thin woman with sugary sweet smile was walking into the room. "Oh, you're awake."
Her voice was strangely deep and her limbs were long and animal like. "Where am I?' Leah asked.
"You're parents are going on vacation, and they sent you here."
"What?! You've got to be kidding me. They wouldn't do that. That's the dumbest lie I have ever heard," Leah scoffed.
The women smiled patiently, as if she knew she was going get a nice award if she waited. "Of course they would," She said while handing Leah a drink.
Leah looked at the woman strangely and took a sip from the cold, glass cup. Immediately everything seemed to make sense. "You're right," Leah said slowly.
"You can call me Mother or Miss Taylor," the lady told her.
" I think I'll just call you Miss Taylor," Leah replied through her muddled thoughts. She couldn't quite place it, but something was wrong about calling Miss Taylor Mother. Miss Taylor pursed her lips, and for a moment her blue eyes turned black. But she quickly composed herself.
"Well the, let's have dinner shall we?" said Miss Taylor briskly. And with that Leah followed her out of the room.

July Reading Log

For now on, every month I will be writing about what books I read. Since we have just started August, will write about the books I read in July!
I read mostly manga and not a lot of real books this month. The manga I read was Naruto, Fruits Basket, and One Piece. Now for the real book I read. First of all, I read the first two books in the Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. These books were much less...er...violent and depressing than the Hunger Games. I would love to go back to the library to get to the next books, but I have so much to read at home so I have put off going to the library for a while. The next book I read was Troy by Adele Geras. While this was a well written book, it unfortunately was mostly a romance book. I also read Call of the Wild by Jack London. This was an easy read for me, but I didn't really like the book. The story just didn't interest me that much. The last book I didn't really read but attempted to read. The Yearling was a book that I just couldn't get through. I made it up to page 80, and by then I had to return it to the library and there so many other books distracting me. Not finishing is something very uncommon to me, and I felt bad not finishing the book.

I can't stand it when girls...

There are certain things that many (I'm saying all) girls do that get on my nerves. Here they are
(in no particular order)

* When girls act dumb (or they really are...)
I'm sorry but that doesn't look attractive. And it's annoying when someone trying to talk to them.
* When girls go to the pool to tan
I can understand if girls go to the beach to tan because the sand is so soft, the sound of waves in your ears, and it is just so warm.....Woah, sorry. I got a little carried away didn't I? But going to the pool to tan? What is the point of driving there when you could just go in your backyard?
* When girls (this one applies to any gender actually) don't care about school
People in general dislike school, but if someone just doesn't care at all if they fail or pass, that gets me   very annoyed.
* When girls only gossip
I have been to many sleepovers where the girls there only talk about the latest celebrity buzz or gossip around their school. Not only is it stupid and annoying, but it's rude and goes against the Bible.

Well, that's it! If you noticed any of these applied to you then... you now know what I don't like about you ;)

A Story!!

Attention everyone! I am going to write a story! *screams and clapping from audience* I am currently writing the first chapter so keep and eye out for it!

aghnafjsbwaeorfihasp

It's easy to say that I will update my blog regularly when I am feeling motivated. Obviously, my motivation lasted one post. This happens to me quite often. For example, at  the beginning of a school year I always promise myself to finish my homework quickly, neatly, and accurately. But as time goes on, I begin to become lazy and end rushing to finish my homework the night before it is due. This disease is so terrible, that if I want to clean my room, I have to watch videos on people cleaning their rooms! Well... maybe I'm exaggerating a little. But still, I'm pretty bad. I'm not going to say that I will be updating regularly, because I know I won't. But I can say that I will try my best.

Lots of Re-reading and Reading

After I finally finished Inheritance by Christopher Paolini (it's amazing how fast I can finish a book once it gets interesting), I decided that I needed to re-read some books. Right now I am re-reading Prince Caspian and I will also re-read the whole series. Next I will re-read Jane Eyre. I am going to read that again because the next and last book in the Mother-Daughter Book Club will be about Jane Eyre (check out the series, it is by Heather Vogel Frederick). I think I should read Little Women. Oh, and then Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh (I feel like I didn't spell that right...). And then... oh no, there are too many books to read!! Maybe I'll focus on books I have yet to read. I need to finish the Two Towers and then read Return of the King. I also need to finish the Artemis Fowl series and Pendragon but I can never find those books at my library. Oh well. Do you know any books I should read?

New (first) Post!

Hello everybody,
I have just deleted all of my posts (there weren't that many) and I am going to start over. So, I guess this is the first post of a empty blog! I am going to try to start posting regularly now.
